Overall grade
How it is calculated
Your cumulative GPA is compared with each honours tier, highest first. A failed course rules honours out, whatever the GPA.
| Honours | Minimum GPA | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| President's List | 3.8 | Semester GPA 3.80 or higher, minimum 12 credit hours, no incomplete grades or repeated courses, not on probation |
| Dean's List | 3.5 | Semester GPA 3.50-3.79, minimum 12 credit hours, no incomplete grades or repeated courses, not on probation |
Overall grade on the 5.00 scale, as Saudi university regulations commonly set it: Excellent from 4.50, Very good from 3.75, Good from 2.75, Pass from 2.00 (one point lower on the 4.00 scale). Your university may differ.
Worked example
3.50 <= 3.79 < 3.80
