Zayed University Grade and Honours Checker

Find your overall grade and whether you qualify for honours under your university's rules.

We have no official honours rule for this page yet, so it uses King Saud University's: first-class honours from 4.75, second-class from 4.25 (out of 5.00), with no failed course. Check your own university's regulations.

How it is calculated

Your cumulative GPA is compared with each honours tier, highest first. A failed course rules honours out, whatever the GPA.

King Saud University: first-class honours for a cumulative GPA of 4.75 to 5.00, second-class honours for 4.25 to below 4.75 (out of 5.00; one point lower on the 4.00 scale), provided the student has not failed any course.

Overall grade on the 5.00 scale, as Saudi university regulations commonly set it: Excellent from 4.50, Very good from 3.75, Good from 2.75, Pass from 2.00 (one point lower on the 4.00 scale). Your university may differ.

Worked example

A GPA of 4.80 with no failed course: Excellent, first-class honours. The same 4.80 with one failed course: Excellent, but no honours. A GPA of 4.30 with no failed course: Very good, second-class honours.
