Overall grade
How it is calculated
Your cumulative GPA is compared with each honours tier, highest first. A failed course rules honours out, whatever the GPA.
| Honours | Minimum GPA | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Honours at graduation | 3.67 | Graduates within the normal duration for graduation |
| Honour list (per semester) | 3.5 | Completes at least the normal study load in that semester |
Overall grade on the 5.00 scale, as Saudi university regulations commonly set it: Excellent from 4.50, Very good from 3.75, Good from 2.75, Pass from 2.00 (one point lower on the 4.00 scale). Your university may differ.
Worked example
3.70 ≥ 3.67 and graduated on time → honours.
What is honours (مرتبة الشرف)?
